Essilor

We worked with Gunsmoke productions on the launch film for new Essilor lenses. We faced a dual post-production challenge. We had to integrate explanatory text into live-action footage. We also needed to create 3D sequences to simplify advanced technology.

Our approach merged these two needs into a single, cohesive workflow. For the 2D integration, careful tracking anchored the text perfectly within the shots. Subtle graphic gimmicks enhanced the high-tech feel.

At the same time, we built a complete 3D world for the explanatory sequences. We even modeled a 3D avatar of the actress to ensure immersion. This 3D world was where we tackled the main challenge. We translated complex lens science into a clear, elegant visual display.

The result is a successful blend of cinema and technical explanation. The film met the director’s artistic vision. It also fulfilled Essilor’s requirements for clarity and branding.
